Versatility of this method allows the processing of a wide variety of materials to a thickness of 175 mm and maximum dimensions: 3010 x 1540 mm, such as:
- ceramic and stoneware,
- Stainless steel, coal and steel,
- non-ferrous metals, marble, granite, sandstone,
- Plastics, rubber, wood.
This method involves the use of concentrated energy of water jet (under the pressure of approximately 6000 bars), where the cutting head is precisely conducted using CNC technology. The edges of materials after cutting are not discoloured, nor thermal-hardened, what is important for hardened materials and metals with low melting point (e.g. aluminium). It is “cold” type processing and treatment. The cut is smooth and the achieved accuracy is less than 0.1 mm/1,000 mm of cut. It is possible making holes equal – and above – 1 mm, as well as cutting thin and easily-deformable materials e.g. thin pane of glass, plastics, graphite.
This technology allows to manufacture one piece, as well as series of thousands items, without any additional modern tools – and carved elements do not require further processing.
